Student Visa
A student visa is issued if you're going to China for study or intern practice for a period of six months or more. A student visa is usually issued for single-entry only. The maximum duration of stay varies.
Here's what you'll need to provide us:
- Actual passport*, signed, and valid for at least six months beyond stay and with a blank visa page.
- One regular visa application form per person, completely filled-out and signed. (Use black or blue ink only.)
- One recent passport-size photograph (color or black and white).
- An approved JW201 or JW202 (Foreign Student Visa Application Form) issued by the State Education Ministry of China – an original copy is needed and will be returned once visa is ready.
An enrollment letter from the receiving school. - Visa processing fees, return postage, and your mailing address.

*Non-U.S. passport holders must provide photocopy of U.S. Green Card or valid U.S. visa.
All requirements may change without notice. For a six-month visa, passport must be valid for at least 9 ninemonths beyond stay.
